Office Romance

My philosophy when it came to decorating my office space was to make it as personal as possible. My goal was to create beautiful inspirational nooks within the room that would inspire creativity and imagination. The most challenging task was trying to incorporate office necessities, computers, and other not so feminine things into my romantic space. The solution is finding old cabinets, cupboards, chests, armories and architectural shelf's for storage. I have an armoire with folding doors to hide my computer, an old fashion ladies desk, antique open cupboard for folders and bins, and an antique post office letter box for mail and supplies. Even an old chest can be made into an open cubby by simple removing the drawers. This room before was a dark teal color with teal woodwork and a dark brown rug. When the house was built in the 1820's, this room was called the Birthing Room. My office now is like a breath of fresh air with light pink walls, a white painted wood floor, lace window treatments, old cottage furniture, oil paintings and plenty of fresh roses. |
