Friendship

By Natalie Stephans

What joy the word friendship evokes... so precious a gem that we can only thank God for His love to us through this wonderful blessing. No one understands the great pearl of price in friendship like our Savior Jesus Christ. To be called friend by Him is an honor indeed! John 15:13

When I look over the chapters of my life I thank God for the beautiful friends that have graced my path; their wisdom and many heart felt lessons in life have taught me valuable lessons. I have seen strength in trial and grace under the most unbearable pressure they have inspired me to go on even when I truly wanted to give up. Their confidence and dignity have many times up held me. They are the rarest gems so utterly multi-faceted. They have brought unspeakable beauty and brilliance to my days. The kindness bestowed on my life by their goodness has only bettered me as a person. My cup of friendship truly runneth over!

Oh the laughs and the tears we have shared my friend. The funny moments we will never forget the marathon shopping trips and the much needed hugs. I understand how you feel and I am there when you need me moments, this will be just a memory reminders and I thought I lost you forever but now we have been reunited times. What blessings from God bestowed in friendship!

Friendship in marriage is a crowning jewel. That in itself is a rare valuable gem to covet today. My husband is one of my best friends and this friendship has taken time to cultivate.. it is greatly cherished by us both. Commitment and love make friendship in marriage grow. It is one friendship we must work on to keep healthy and vital. This friendship is one of the most valuable friendships in our lives and we must tenderly nurture it above all others.

A friend that sticks closer then a brother...I have had those exceptional friends that have been like family. I call them kindred spirits. They have been like-minded in so many ways. Sometimes you do not even have to speak a word and they seem to know how you feel. They are always there when you need them and the first to reach out in any sign of trouble. They bless you and your entire family with their love and steadiness. And when we have time to visit they just want to sit and talk basking in our friendship they are truly always for me and I love them so dearly! Proverbs 18:24

I have learned so many lessons in my life over friendships'. I try to be the kind of friend I would like to for them to be, I know in my heart that a good, loyal, honest, loving person that respects our friendship and my family is priceless. I try to be that kind of friend back to them one that genuinely cares and listen to their needs and encourages the very best in each one of them that also loves them and their whole family. I always want quality over quantity a deep abiding genuine faith in God and wisdom in each one of them.

Over the years I have been very vigilant in whom I choose to call friend. I have grown to value myself enough to not allow any one that does not encourage or foster good in me to be close to my family or myself. Friendship must be bathed in prayer always seeking Gods approval in choosing the very best. There are many acquaintances but those I call friend are very dear and special. I learn and grow from just being in their presence. They change who I am just by who they are! I thank God for each one of them.

This is dedicated to you my sweet friend Christ you lovingly take such good care of me and know my heart best of all... I am so honored to call you Friend! And to my delicate graceful loving friends for I am blessed by God to know you and see a little piece of Him within your hearts! You are truly noble and worthy. And God bless you mom for you are always my most precious friend ...xo

Love in Him, Natalie

John 15:14 You are my friends if you do what I command.
