Cozy Pantry

The pantry is one of my favorite cozy nooks to store my antique china, canned goods and vintage linens. The door far left leads to a small powder room. We are in the process of painting it PINK! Before
After
The make over in the pantry was mostly cosmetic. We painted out everything using Benjamin Moore "Linen White" paint. We removed the rug and peeled away the dark dreary wallpaper and replaced it using a Waverly rosebud pattern. Little light enters this tiny space so for added charm we put in some vintage lighting. A double vintage sconce with shades and a hanging crystal chandelier. Last but certainly not least the floor was painted using enamel porch paint in a rich brown and finished off with a pretty rose vintage hooked rug. I thought about painting the floor white as I did with my office floor but really took into account the amount of heavy traffic this room would endure and finally decided to go with the brown. When it was all said and done, I Really love the way it turned out. The contrast of the dark floor against all the crisp white really pops. And above all, it always looks great. Low maintenance, YES!
